एगो पंडित जी हलन, आउ एगो पड़िआइन जी। एक दिन पड़िआइन कहलन कि ''ए पंडी जी, तू मर जयवऽ तऽ हम बड़ी रोववऽ। हमरा रहल न जायत। तोहर जिनगी में हम कुछो न खैली !'' तब पंडी जी कहलन कि ''कुछो न खैलऽ ? पड़‍िआइन, लावऽ तो झोला, हम माँग के ले आईं।'’ तुरते पंडी जी खीर बनावे के सब समान लेके अयलन । पड़िआइन जी भी खीर बना के रख देलन ।

पंडी जी कस के सूत रहलन, तो पड़िआइन उठावे गेलन तइयो ऊ न उठलन, आउ मरल अइसन कर देलन । तब पड़िआइन जी कहऽ हथ कि पंडितवा मर गेल । तब पड़िआइन जी सोचलन कि हल्ला कर ही तो सब खीर बिगा जायत। ई से ऊ सपासप खीर खाय लगलन, आउ कहलन कि ''सइयाँ रे गुर सइयाँ, खीर सपासप खइयाँ।'' सब खीर पड़‍िआइन जी खा गेलन, आउ जाके गाँव ओलन के बोला अयलन कि पंडी जी मर गेलन हे। पंडित जी एतना मोट हलन कि दुआरी में अँटवे न करथ। तब सब कोई कहे कि दुआरी ढाह दऽ, बाकि पड़िआइन जी कहलन कि अब तो पंडी जी मरिये गेलन । अब का होत? से इनकरे काट के दुअरिया पार कर देहूँ । बाकि कोई काटे ला तइयार न भेल तब पड़िआइने जी पंडी जी के काटे ला तइयार भे गेलन । पंडी जी ओतिये घड़ी उठलन आउ पड़िआइन जी के मार के गड़हरा भरा देलन, आउ दूसर सादी करके सुख से रहे लगलन।

A priest and a woman lived nearby. One day, the woman said, "Oh priest, if you were to die, I would weep a lot. I wouldn't be able to live without you. I haven't eaten anything in your presence!" The priest replied, "Nothing at all? Woman, bring your bowl, and I will bring some food with my begging." Immediately, the priest brought all the ingredients to make rice pudding (kheer). The woman also prepared kheer and set it aside.

While the priest was pretending to sleep deeply, the woman got up, but he still wouldn't wake up and acted as if he were dead. Then the woman exclaimed, "The priest has died." She thought that if she made a commotion, all the kheer would be spoiled. So, she began eating the kheer quickly and said, "Oh dear, what a fine kheer this is!" The woman ate all the kheer and then went to the village to announce that the priest had died. The priest was so heavy that he couldn't be carried through the door. Everyone suggested breaking down the door, but the woman said, "Now that the priest is dead, what will happen? I can just cut him up and carry him through the door." However, no one was ready to do the cutting, so the woman prepared to do it herself. Just then, the priest woke up, hit the woman, and filled her plate with food, and then he remarried and began to live happily.
