एगो राजा आउ वजीर के लड़का में बड़ी दोस्ती हल। एक के दोसर के बिना चैन न रहऽ हल। एक दिन वजीर के बेटा इयार से मिले गेलन, तो ओकरा दूरा पड़ न पा के रनिवासे चल गेलन, आउ निसा में राजा के न रहे पर रानी के पलंग पर सूत गेलन। नीन खुलल तो चेहाके उहाँ से चल अयलन, बाकि उनकर अँगूठी पलंग पर गिर गेल। राजकुमार अयलन तो इयार के अंगूठी देख के रानी से बोल-चाल बंद कर देलन। ई देख के रानी नइहर में चिट्ठी लिखलन -
बाबा बाग लगाय के, लाखो लाख लुटाय। रस से भरी रसीली में, भौंरा घुर-फिर जाय। -सत् रह।।

बाप ई पांती पढ़ के बेटा के नउवा के साथ बेटी हीं भेजलन । इहाँ दोसर दिन साँझ के राजा के बेटा, वजीर के बेटा आउ उनकर साला आउ नउवा एगो पोखरा पर जा के चउपड़ खेले लगलन । खेलते-खेलते सालाराम कहलन कि - निरमल जल तालाब में, अति ही पवित्र पवित्र। सोजन काहे ना पिये, सुनो हमारो मित्र॥ -सत् रह।।

तब राजा एतना सुन के मन-ही-मन सोंच के कहलन- कर पंजे के बीच में, ता में लाल समाय। सो मैं देखा पलंग पर, नीर पिया न जाय। -सत् रह।।

एतना सुन के चउपड़ खेलते वजीर के लड़का कहलन- घटा गरजे बिजुली चमके, लागे न काहूँ अंत। माय बहिनियाँ जान के, गए पलंग पर बैठ॥ -सत् रह।।

एकरा बाद दउआ के पांसा आयल तो सोंच के कहलन- चतुरन में चतुरन मिले, लगे न का हूँ अंत। अभाग हे ऊ नारी के, कि मूरख मिलल कंत। -सत् रह।।

ई सब सुन के राजा असलियत समझ गेलन, आउ ऊ दिन से रानी के साथ मिल के रहे लगलन।

A king and a minister's son had a deep friendship. They couldn't find peace without each other. One day, the minister's son met his friend and, unable to stay with him, went to the queen's palace and fell asleep on the queen's bed while the king was away at night. When he woke up, he left, but his ring had fallen on the bed. When the prince arrived and saw the friend's ring, he stopped speaking to the queen. Observing this, the queen wrote a letter to her family:

Father, having planted a garden, has looted millions.
In the juice-filled, juicy garden, the bee buzzes around.

After reading this couplet, the father sent a daughter along with his son. The next evening, the king's son, the minister's son, his brother-in-law, and his friend went to a pond to play a board game (Chaupar). While playing, the brother-in-law said:

In the pure water of the pond, it is indeed very sacred.
Why not drink the concoction, listen my friend.
-Truth remains.

Upon hearing this, the king thought to himself and said:

Between the fingers lies the red fruit.
So, I see on the bed, the water cannot be sipped.
-Truth remains.

Then the minister's son, while playing Chaupar, said:

The clouds thunder, lightning strikes, where is the end.
Mothers, sisters, knowing this, went to sit on the bed.
-Truth remains.

After this, when the winning dice came, he thought and said:

The clever meet the clever, so there is no end.
Unfortunate is that woman, who finds a fool for a husband.

Hearing all this, the king understood the truth, and from that day onward, he began to stay with the queen.
