एगो गुरुजी लड़कन के पढ़ावऽ हलथिन। ओकरा में एगो बड़ा भोला लड़का हल । गुरु जी ओकरा एक दिन पीटइत हलथिन, आउ बोल रहलथिन हल कि ''अरे गदहा, तोरा तो हम पढ़ाते-पढ़ाते अदमी बना देलिअउ, तौ भी तूं कुछ खेयाल न करऽ हे?'’ ई बात एगो निसंतान धोबी सुनलक, आउ गुरु जी भी जा के कहलक, कि हमरा कोई लइका-फइका नऽ हे। हम्मर गदहवा के तू अदमी बना दऽ। गुरु जी कहलन कि ''एक हजार रोपेया लगतो, जा के ओके ऊ खुटवा में बान्ह दे। भादों तक हम एकरा पढ़ा के अदमी बना देबउ। भादों के पुनिया तक तो जरूर ले जइहें। नऽ तो हम एकरा अप्पन स्कूल से निकाल देवउ!''

धोबी सब बात मान लेलक आउ, तुरत एक हजार रोपेया जमा कर देलक। घर में आन के अप्पन मेहरारू से सब बात कहलक, तो ऊ बड़ा खुश भेलई। ओहनी सब काम-धाम में लग गेलन। जब भादों बीत के कातिक आ गेल, तो एक दिन धोबिनिया धोबी से कहलक कि ''बुतरुआ के लयलऽ नऽ!'' तब धोबिया के इयाद अलई, आउ दउड़ल-दउड़ल गुरुजी भीर गेलई। तब गुरु जी कहलथिन कि ओकरा तो हम भादों के पुनिया के रोज असरा देख के निकाल देलियो। से ऊ तो कलकता के कचहरी में जज के काम कर रहलो हे! बस धोबी आन के मेहरारू से सब हाल कहलक। तब ऊ कहकई कि ''जब बेटा जज के काम कर हईं, अब दूनों परानी उहईं चल के आराम से रहम!''

ई सोच के धोबी अप्पन घर-दुआर सब बेच देलक, आउ सब रोपेया ले के चलल, आउ कलकता पहुँच के जहाँ जज साहब कचहरी लगौले हलन, जा के दूनो परानी काने-पीटे लगलन। आउ दूनों कहथ कि तों हम्मर बेटा है। बड़ी जतन से तोरा गुरुजी गदहा से अदमी बनौलथुन हे! से ई सब रोपेया रखऽ, आउ हमनियो सब इहें रहबो! ई सब रोपेया-पइसा से हमरा कउनों काम नऽ हे। धोबी-धोबिन के ई सब बात सुन के जज साहेब अप्पन अरदली के बोलवलन, आउ हुकुम देलन कि ''ई दूनो के हम्मर डेरा में पहुचा दऽ!'' तब से ओहनी दूनों उहें रहे लगलन।

A teacher used to teach children. Among them, there was a very innocent boy. One day, the teacher beat him and said, "Hey donkey, I’ve tried to make you a decent person while teaching you, yet you don't care at all!" An infertile washerman heard this, and went to the teacher, saying, "I don’t have any children. Please make my donkey into a man." The teacher replied, "It will cost a thousand rupees; go and tie him up in that shed. By the end of the monsoon, I will make him a man. I will certainly take him to the celebration by the end of the monsoon. Otherwise, I will expel him from my school!"

The washerman agreed to everything and immediately gathered a thousand rupees. When he went home and told his wife everything, she was very happy. They both got busy with work. When the monsoon passed and autumn arrived, one day the wife reminded the washerman, "Did you bring our son?" Then the washerman remembered, and he hurried to the teacher. The teacher said, "I expelled him daily after the monsoon, and now he is working as a judge in the Calcutta court!" The washerman then told his wife every detail. She replied, "Since our son is working as a judge, let's both go there and live comfortably!"

Thinking this over, the washerman sold all his household items and took all the money to go to Calcutta, where the judges hold their court, and both of them started to serve the judge. They said that he was their son. “Your teacher made him a decent person with great effort! So, take this money and we'll all live here! We have no use for this money.” Hearing all this from the washerman and his wife, the judge called his assistant and ordered, "Take these two to my residence!" Since then, they both began to stay there.
